Make this cute pillow in just 15 minutes using two placemats and some poly-fil!
This week I am participating in Craft Lightning where a group of bloggers are rounding up Christmas crafts you can make in 15 minutes or less. I am excited to show you how easy it is to make this cute pillowcase. With some quick sewing you will have the cutest Christmas pillow to add to your home decor. You could do this with any two place mats you find that are the same size. I got mine from the Target dollar spot section.
Materials:
2 placemats with finished edges ( I got mine in the Target dollar spot)
Poly-fil Stuffing
Sewing machine & white thread
Wonderclips or Pins
First use either pins or the clips to secure the two place mats, wrong sides together on three sides, leaving one side open to fill with stuffing.
Sew around the three sides right along the existing seam.
Use the poly-fil to stuff your pillow.
Clip the final edge and sew shut, again sewing along the existing seam.
Now you have a cute little pillow for your Christmas decorations!
Even the back of the pillow is darling.
Let me know if you have any questions in the comments below.
sewwwww cute! I love that print on the placemat too!
Thanks Katie!
I need a few of these pillows myself!
You do! I need a few more myself, haha. 🙂
This will save me so much money on throw pillows!
Yes, and you can never have enough pillows 🙂
This looks like so much more work than 15 minutes! I love how simple this holiday pillow is to make!
Thanks Carolina!
