This chocolate cherry cake is perfect for the holidays. Easy to make and only 4 ingredients.
Sometimes I feel like I have so many recipes to try that is takes me a while to get around to making all of them. I’m pretty sure I first tried this cake at a friend’s bridal shower where I asked for the recipe, and I realized they will be married 9 years this month so that’s quite a while it took me to make it! I wish I hadn’t waited that long though, because this cake is super delicious and it’s so easy. If you love the combination of cherry and chocolate then you have to try this cake. I was excited because I got to try out my new Fillables bakeware pan. The one I used is bundt shaped, but it has little pockets in the cake you can fill with a treat. I decided some extra cherry pie filling would be perfect. But not to worry if you don’t have a Fillables pan, just use a regular bundt pan or 9X13. The frosting for the cake is more of a glaze and reminds me of Texas sheet cake frosting. It’s super good. You could always use your favorite chocolate frosting recipe, but I recommend giving this frosting a try at least once. I hope you enjoy this cake as much as we do! My husband said this might be his new favorite.

1/2 cup butter
6 tablespoons milk
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla
