I was able to attend a blogger event in Salt Lake City this past week and try Rumbi Island Grill’s newest menu item, sweet pork! There are three new menu items featuring the sweet pork-a rice bowl, tacos and a salad. I was really excited to try the sweet pork because I already love so many other things at Rumbi. 

My favorite sweet pork item was the salad. I love their fresh house made dressings. I tried both the ranch and jalapeño ranch and loved the extra kick in the jalapeño ranch dressing. The salad was nice and fresh and the pork paired perfectly with their signature coconut rice. I also loved the beans they served with the sweet pork tacos. They are slow cooked with a mixture of delicious spices like cumin, and had a wonderful flavor. All of the ingredients in my meals were super fresh and flavorful. The new sweet pork is also really tasty. It’s cooked in real cane sugar coca cola, and you can taste all of that great sweetness.

Rumbi Island grill is a great place for the whole family to dine. On Mondays and Tuesdays kids eat free (one free kid’s meal with the purchase of an adult entree)! I love deals like this to eat out with kids. My two little ones loved the macaroni and cheese kid’s meal but they also tried the sweet pork and rice and loved that too.
