The super easy crockpot french dip beef sandwiches cook all day to give you yummy shredded beef that is perfect on crusty bread to dip into the savory au jus. One of the best beef sandwiches! We like to serve them with grainy mustard and pepper rings.
Both my kids have gone through a stage where they have to “dip” all their food: dip their carrots in ranch, dip their chicken in barbecue sauce, dip their grilled cheese in tomato soup. Dip e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. Well, this meal is actually a meal where they get to do their favorite thing and dip it- delicious shredded beef with an au jus dip. It’s a slow cooker meal which is great for a busy day or any day really. I love letting my slow cooker do all the work! We love to serve our sandwiches with baked french fries on the side, but a nice green salad would also be a great (and healthier) option. We also garnish our sandwiches with some nice grainy mustard, sliced cheese and mild pepper rings. These are seriously so good and easy. Make sure you get a nice crusty roll to serve them on.
Easy Slow Cooker French Dip Beef Sandwiches
1 (2-3 pound) beef rump roast or beef chuck roast
1 can beef broth (14.5 oz)
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 package Good Seasons Italian dressing dry mix
Add the can of beef broth to the bottom of the slow cooker and whisk all the seasonings together except the Italian dressing mix. Place roast in the broth and sprinkle the dressing seasoning packet over the roast. Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours or low 6-8 hours. Shred the roast and allow to remain in broth. Serve on your favorite crusty roll, and ladle the broth into bowls to dip your sandwiches in.
